For best results, use this product after cleansing the hair and scalp with Clever Curl Cleanser. This product is also suitable for the co-wash technique if preferred.
METHOD 1: Conditioning
1. Following cleansing with Clever Curl Cleanser keep hair completely saturated with warm water.
2. Apply Conditioner to palms and distribute evenly in hands.
3. Begin applying to ends of hair, working product up to mid-lengths. Glaze any remaining product over hair.
4. Once product is distributed evenly begin applying preferred techniques, such as wet brush, roping or squish to condish.
5. Rinse out with lots of water, allowing some product to be left in depending on what your curls need.
METHOD 2: Leave-in
1. After your conditioning routine, apply Conditioner to palms and distribute evenly through hair using your preferred techniques, such as raking or praying hands.
2. For more accentuated curls gently scrunch hair to encourage stronger curls.
3. Leave in and let hair dry with your preferred techniques, such as plopping, diffusing or air dry, OR for stronger curl definition and hold, apply Clever Curl Curl Gel before allowing the hair to dry.
TIP:Â Can be applied for refreshing techniques.

Really great conditioner; does not irritate my scalp; lovely soft hair after using – a little saddened to hear this may be discontinued? Question – Will the rich conditioner work in a similar way if slightly diluted?

After years of searching for a conditioner for my fine but high-density curly hair I have finally found the one! And I love that it’s fragrance free as I find most fragrances overwhelming. It leaves my hair soft and hydrated without weighing it down or making the curls drop out like most hydrating conditioners do. I finally have light, plump, frizz-free curls! My 9 year old curly son also uses this and even my straight-haired family members use it with good results! My straight haired daughter and I have hair that is prone to tangling/matting and this conditioner really helps. I also put some in a spray bottle with water to use in my daughters hair as a detangler. Please sell the fragrance free light conditioner in a 1ltr bottle so I can easily top up everyone in the house and save on plastic waste!!

After first using the rich conditioner I have swapped to the light which gives my thin hair all the nourishment without the weight. I love the results, soft curls and no frizz, what more can I want, oh yes no artificial perfume. Perfect.

If you’re looking for one product to start your Curly Girl Method journey, this is it. It’s great as a co-wash for the roots, conditioner for the lengths, leave-in conditioner and styling product for refreshing. It’s super concentrated so I use less than other conditioners, and only a tiny bit for leave-in or refreshing.
