It`s World Ocean Day 🌊
This is an important day for us at Ethical Brand Co as we strive towards providing products with the utmost respect for our environment. The 2024 World Ocean Day action theme is "Catalysing Action for Our Ocean & Climate. By growing the movement through transformative collaboration, we aim to create a healthy blue planet and a more just, equitable and sustainable society. "

We can use today to remember to make sustainable choices in our daily lives, supporting businesses and charities helping to improve our environment and making sure to pick up that piece of rubbish when we are enjoying our walk along our beautiful Aussie beaches!

National Reconciliation Week 2024 🖤💛❤️
Yesterday we had the pleasure of having @leemuckan & @undumbi_culture join us in celebrating National Reconciliation Week. We hold dearly our friendship with the Muckan family and are constantly left with a greater understanding on First Nation’s history and cultural practices and the importance of continuing to share this knowledge.

The team at Ethical Brand Co acknowledge the traditional custodians of the beautiful land we have the honour of working, living and playing on - the Yinneburra clan of the Kabi Kabi people.

We acknowledge their loss of life, land & livelihood; the displacement of children, family & community; the fragmentation of identity & history. We are proud supporters of Reconciliation Australia and the work they do to educate the community and strengthen the relationships between Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people and non-Indigenous Australians.

Ethical Brand Co has developed and implemented a Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan that enables us to take meaningful steps towards living in a just, equitable and reconciled Australia.

Last night, Julia and Alexis from our RAP Working Group were honoured to attend the Sunshine Coast National Reconciliation Week 2024 Launch event at Tribal Link on Jinibara Country.

Our team (and their little ones) enjoyed the evening connecting with our Elders, Council Members and community, gathered together in the spirit of reconciliation.

Thank you to Kerry and the team at Tribal Link for welcoming us all on your beautiful country, and for sharing your heartfelt stories and hopes for a reconciled Australia.

To wrap up our Australian Made Week celebrations, we asked the team why they think it’s important to support Australian Made!

We hope after this week you have had a second glance for that Australian Made logo on your products, followed a couple more amazing local businesses and will continue to support Aussie families 🦘

What a special day spent today with Kabi Kabi Elder Uncle Tais and his son Lee-Samuel! 😊

Our entire team here at Ethical Brand Co spent the day being shown around Uncle Tais` property on a guided Walk on Country, hand painting message sticks, practicing our Boomerang throws and learning all about their hand crafted tools 🤍

Thank you so much to Uncle Tais` and Lee-Samuel for sharing your knowledge with us, it`s safe to say it was an unforgettable experience for all!

#AustralianMadeWeek 🦘

Being Australian Made also means supporting Australian Made, so why not look local?

Supporting local not only means knowing exactly where your money goes, but knowing that by choosing that business, you are changing lives of hard working Australians!

It’s Australian Made Week!
Each year, we come together to celebrate Australian makers and growers 🦘
Ethical Brand Co is proud to be Australian Made and Owned, and a supporter of Aussie Made suppliers and services in all areas of our business.

Today, we asked the Ethical Brand Co team if they know how to identify if a business is actually certified Australian Made.

Knowing which business or service is genuinely Aussie helps us know we are supporting local! This is also great for Aussie businesses to be aware of, as the green and gold logo is the only registered trademark for country of origin branding!
